Champagne showers! With New Year's eve fast approaching and the urgent need to find my show-stopping look, I am still in brainstorm mode. WHAT TO WEAR? Obviously I am still dressless 10 days before the big countdown. So, I find myself back at the drawing board... Right now I am getting my inspiration from the Champagne Season Collection on www.farfetch.com. Blush and blossom pinks paired with none other than the chicest colour of them all, black, makes for a more than enchanting look. Every year at the rise of the spring/summer collections, I find myself obsessing over blush pinks. So it is wonderful to see them so prominent in the AW party trends. TOTAL LOVE! Farfetch have put together they're top party trends full of angelic, feminine dresses, paired with moody undertones. Drift into the night in clouds of organza and get ready to rumble in ruffles as light as air...

During the winter season, black is in my opinion, the chicest of them all, and well, paired with pretty pinks? That is sugar, spice and all things nice! The party season also calls for sparkle, whether that be in the form of dazzling jewellery, sequins or diamonds, you decide, just make sure that this year, you sparkle and shine into 2016!

NO..not the red light..DAMMIT! OK so...totally my fault, my camera ran out of battery (I forgot to charge it) and it made that dreaded beeping noise EURGH!!!

Beeps never tend to be a happy sound...lets think about this for a second:

BEEP (out of battery)
BEEP BEEP BEEP (alarm clock)
BEEEEEEP (Car horn - usually means danger)
BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.BEEP (FIRRREEEEEEE)

Yeah, you guessed it, I do not like beeping noises, and this beeping noise in particular meant that I had to shoot this look on my iPhone, which will do but the quality isn't great, so sorry Dolls!

Don't you just love that feeling you get when you find a really great outfit and you're like TOTAL LOVE! Yeah. That's how I feel about this one.. after tearing my wardrobe apart trying to filter through my already worn clothes, I couldn't help but feel completely hopeless! WHAT TO WEAR!?!

Then it just all fell into place as per. Oh another all-black outfit? Oh but darling:

This is the first time I have worn my Chanel pearls and oh how I love them. They are beyond beautiful, dazzling in fact and yet I haven't found an outfit with which I can pair them with...Until now!

Chanel pearls are classic and timeless and every Chanel woman wants them. However, I don't want to look middle-aged when I am 21 as they are quite the statement for a young woman, therefore they have been guarded in their box with it's bow wrapped tight eagerly awaiting to be worn. As I pieced together this rock-chic look, all black everything, I thought to myself 'something, just something is missing to just accentuate, compliment and break up the black...' Then it all fell into place, and VOILA!

This outfit was perfect for Daniella and Ben's bday bash! Happy Birthday Dolls! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Nothing better than a glass of Prosecco after running a half marathon...and buying SHOES!

This continues to baffle me...if anyone is familiar with how this is done PLEASE TELL ME.

One of the perks of having a BFF in fashion PR is that you get to know about all the sample sales; who, when and where. I for one love a bargain, and I have been quite lucky when it comes to shoes lately and no matter what I'm doing I can always find time for a good ol' sample sale. 

So who was it this week? SOPHIA WEBSTER! If you have read one of my LFW blog posts from back in Feb (see here) you may have figured out that I am a huge fan of Sophia's eccentric aesthetics and quirky, youthful style. A shoe designer at best, Sophia's shoes are colourful, fun and flirty...yet expensive! So when I reached the finishing line of the Roding Valley Half Marathon to receive a call from Claudia asking me to go, I couldn't say no! No matter how much my legs demanded that I rest I jumped straight in the shower, grabbed a bagel 'to go' and off I went to Covent Garden...

Being the UK average shoe size of a 5, it meant that on my arrival most were AS USUAL gone. After trying on several styles in my size I got myself in a tizz regarding the fact 'Giselle' weren't in my size. Of course this pair of gorgeous black booties were all gone. I went for broke and tried a 4 1/2 and ... THEY BLOODY FIT. So about 10 minutes later I was £150 poorer but I had treated myself. Oh YARRR. A shoe fit for Queen B, Sophia's addition of what appears to be tiaras on the front of each foot is just what caught my eye. Total love!

Claudia also purchased a pair of black slouch booties, hers more elaborately detailed than mine with metallic-thread embroidery and an open toe with stiletto heel. 

All heels were £150 with some being £200. Samples were £50 but were all in stupidly large or small sizes. The mistake many (including myself) make with sample sales is that you are inclined to buy something because it is 'designer' and 'cheaper'. DON'T. 80% of the time you are still spending over £100 on the piece and well... If you don't love it, DON'T BUY IT. I spent over an hour faffing over several pairs of shoes at the Nicholas Kirkwood sample sale, only to realise I didn't actually like any of the shoes in my size. Close to spending over £300 I refrained and left without regret. The key to bargains is to not buy rubbish but buy golden goodies that have a story to their purchase! If you find that golden goody, grab it, then go treat yourself to a glass of prosecco, just like we do! Retail Therapy...

I'll Stop Wearing Black When They Invent A Darker Colour | No comments:

Black may symbolise something far darker to some, however to me it is classic, nonchalant, timeless and portrays elegance and opulence. In more ways that some black is sartorial. There is something about wearing black on black on black that makes me feel at ease, not only is it flattering on the figure, but goes with everything, and never ceases to amaze. Black can be simple and it can be dramatic; in this look I am wearing a simple dress/shirt combo accompanied by Suede, wedged heels paired with Frilly Socks. The frilly socks and shoe combo is a signature feature added to many of my looks, I am definitely a girly girl and love frills or accentuating an outfit with an accessory such as frilly socks.

I fell in love with this feather jacket back in November whilst treating myself with my first paycheck from my new job. It stood out to me instantly with its outlandish style and 50's demure. It is definitely a dramatic piece that risks looking too much if paired with the wrong outfit for the wrong occasion. There is something that screams 1950s Hollywood with this look and my favourite accessory is the hat, which you'll be happy to hear is from Primark! What a bargain buy!

Good Girl Gone Grunger Chic | No comments:

Hey Dolls, Welcome to my first ever blog post! A classic 'Bea' outfit that I love to wear regularly is one that has some form of collar, the bigger the better I say. Today I went for the simplistic peter pan collar, which paired with anything with a high enough neckline can change and shape an outfit completely, you can refine the way a dress looks by simply pairing it with a shirt or detachable collar depending on the cut of the dress. Inevitably by adding a collar, you can't shy away from the school girl style persona which it conveys, however you can switch up the look with just a pair of shoes or maybe even just an accessory, I opted for my grungy biker boots from Topshop. I am literally in love with these boots, they go with pretty much everything and can change a look instantly. These are undeniably a must-have. With gale force winds sweeping the South West at the moment it is a sensible idea to layer up! In this look I went for the dress and shirt combo, with a cropped jumper (the dropped shoulders and tight sleeves give it that 80s vibe) topped off with my rabbit/fox fur gilet to add glamour, with the addition of a few simple accessories. You can't go wrong with a velvety black hairband... I have American Apparel to thank for that.
