Down By The River | No comments:

Can I just say...DOLLS, I'M BACK! Ok but seriously, boo who? Yes I was bed-ridden for 8 days, I'm sure some people here at Ulpan thought I died, yes I am that important (slash why did NOONE notice). OH and apart from the fact I almost went insane, started and finished the whole of Orange is the New Black, I lost myself for a little while, it's pretty boring doing sweet FA. In spite of being so down in the dumps, it was time to get out of that bed-ridden funk I had gotten myself in to and take myself down by the river with none other than my favourite Parisian Princess, Abigaelle, my PIC (Partner in Crime).

After waking up fairly home sick and well...sad, which is allowed and it's totally normal, I mean I moved half way across the world by myself without my family or friends. Am I mad? Yes I am completely and utterly mad but GUESS WHAT. All the best people are... Today gave me more reasons to be thankful because really, I am blessed. I am so lucky to be living my life the crazy way I am. OH and it's January 16th, not my average Jan Saturday considering it's 23 degrees, I'm wearing a crop with my leggings and WOW it's a beautiful day. Far from the rainy and FREEZING cold city I call home, known as London, where lets be honest, whilst we love to talk about the weather, it rains most of the year round and our summer's are virtually non-existent. Apart from the odd heatwave which honestly lasts two minutes and the whole country is in shutdown...like the drought. Since when was England the Sahara Desert. London I Fucking Love You BUT I can't help but lap up the lavish sunshine, turn that frown into a crown and remind myself why I came here in the first place. There is no reason to be sad in a world as wonderful as this.

"If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."

As we wander through Yarkon Park, the air is filled with that marvellous smell of freshly cut grass, it fills you right up; the green is full of people smiling, laughing, playing ball, whilst lovers sit kissing by the riverside. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and the grass really is greener on the other side. I hear English voices, American, French, Russian and of course the wonderful Hebrew language. I live in this new city full of character and diversity, which I now call home. Tel-Aviv is made up of like-minded people from all over the world, all coming together to live here in Israel...one love.

I finally feel me again...GVO xo.

More Issues than Vogue | No comments:

NO..not the red light..DAMMIT! OK so...totally my fault, my camera ran out of battery (I forgot to charge it) and it made that dreaded beeping noise EURGH!!!

Beeps never tend to be a happy sound...lets think about this for a second:

BEEP (out of battery)
BEEP BEEP BEEP (alarm clock)
BEEEEEEP (Car horn - usually means danger)
BEEP.BEEP.BEEP.BEEP (FIRRREEEEEEE)

Yeah, you guessed it, I do not like beeping noises, and this beeping noise in particular meant that I had to shoot this look on my iPhone, which will do but the quality isn't great, so sorry Dolls!

***

Don't you just love that feeling you get when you find a really great outfit and you're like TOTAL LOVE! Yeah. That's how I feel about this one.. after tearing my wardrobe apart trying to filter through my already worn clothes, I couldn't help but feel completely hopeless! WHAT TO WEAR!?!

Then it just all fell into place as per. Oh another all-black outfit? Oh but darling:

"Women who wear black, lead colourful lives"
- Neiman Marcus

This is the first time I have worn my Chanel pearls and oh how I love them. They are beyond beautiful, dazzling in fact and yet I haven't found an outfit with which I can pair them with...Until now!

Chanel pearls are classic and timeless and every Chanel woman wants them. However, I don't want to look middle-aged when I am 21 as they are quite the statement for a young woman, therefore they have been guarded in their box with it's bow wrapped tight eagerly awaiting to be worn. As I pieced together this rock-chic look, all black everything, I thought to myself 'something, just something is missing to just accentuate, compliment and break up the black...' Then it all fell into place, and VOILA!

This outfit was perfect for Daniella and Ben's bday bash! Happy Birthday Dolls! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

What I Wore:
Crop Top - Missguided
Lamb Skin Leather Skirt - American Apparel
Black Overcoat - Zara
Fur Gilet - Ebay

This Girl Got Plaid | No comments:

The Flannel. As they like to call it across the pond in the USA is a plaid (tartan) shirt and a must-have item this season...if not always. Never heard of the term flannel? Well neither had I until recently. To me a flannel is a small square piece of towelling that you use to wash your face, and most definitely belongs in the bathroom. But....as usual I learnt the hard, if not hilarious way...

My fellow doll from America, Kat was visiting London from San Francisco when we decided to go to Lovebox Festival. Kat rings me up like 'Bea! I'm going to take my flannel...I think it's essential' So me being an absolute ditz... I pack what us Brits refer to as a 'flannel'. Except we both had completely different ideas about what a flannel actually was.

I will never forget the moment I whipped out that face cloth to be like 'I GOT MY FLANNEL BITCH'... oh my we literally laughed about that for so long! Missing you!

For today's look I opted for all black errrythanng...yes I love black and will stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour. Black can be a bit depressing sometimes, mainly in the daytime if it's not broken up by colour. All black at night is totally acceptable somehow, but in the daytime it's just not alright. So try tying a plaid shirt around your waist to add colour and style. I love this look, and I even added this Rose Quartz necklace, my latest purchase from Urban Outfitters. TOTAL LOVE.

This is a new look that I have put together and I love it, I would say it is effortlessly stylish. When it comes to causual dressing, I tend to always dress up! I CAN'T HELP IT! I am not one for wearing just jeans and a tee...and well I barely EVER, if not, never wear trousers. So for me this look is perfect and there are lots of different patterns and textures; from ribbed material to velvet and my leggings are verging on neoprene which i'm sure Alexander Wang would be very proud of.

PS. Sorry for the poor quality pictures... I've had to resort to iPhone selfies until I get my camera back... literally lost without it! Boo Hoo.

WHAT I WORE:
Plaid Shirt - Zara
Velvet Cropped Top - Urban Outfitters

Ribbed Crop Jumper - H&M

JET SET: The Sartorial Doll Takes Monaco PART 2 | No comments:

BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP...Another 6am wake up call...except this time we're off to Stars 'n' Bars in Monaco's prestigious harbour to partake in Lisa's Zumba class. As I shake my booty and shimmy forward I find myself gazing out across the world-famous port that is Monaco's Harbour and my gosh WHAT A VIEW.

Many find themselves displaying their wealth in the tax-free haven which we call Monaco; where the wealthy squander their wealth at The Cafe de Paris Casino, lapping up lavish wines with caviar, but more so in the formation of a yacht....or if you're a real big dog....the super yacht. The notably, larger sized yachts display their dominance in the harbour with helicopters placed just so, on their own private helipad; with smaller yachts trailing behind with the addition of Jet Skis and what not. As you step foot upon any of the yachts, you are immediately greeted by staff who usually hand you a glass of champagne. This is a completely different world, one so different from what you may know, yet the people are undeniably more humble than you may think.

Me, Jazzmin and Millie - Both Jazzmin and Millie are my oldest childhood friends

I absolutely love the people of Monaco, so friendly and fun (well the people I have met anyways..)! Lisa's class is oversubscribed with almost 40 people attending her classes daily and they LOVE it. The turnout was impressive, but not as impressive as Lisa...girl you can move! I can positively say that you are THE BEST Zumba teacher I have ever had, and well.... I wouldn't mind doing that every morning.

xoxo REUNITED xoxo

Peace out bitches!

Apres Zumba, all the Zumba ladies sat around sipping Cafe du Lait and handing Jazzy wonderful gifts for her 21st whilst gossipping over the latest dance moves, outfit choices for later and of course Jazzy's 21st Birthday!!! Life seems so simple here, so relaxed, but in a sense it isn't reality. In fact the best way I can describe it to you is by referring to The Truman Show, a movie worth watching. I love Monaco, every time I go, it inspires me to work harder so that one day I can afford the lifestyle I desire and that isn't achieved by marrying a rich man... I will make my own success one day, that I am sure of.

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY JAZZMIN

Jazzmin and Lisa - They look more like sisters than mother and daughter don't ya think...?

What I Wore:
Sports Bra/ Skort - Both by H&M
Trainers - Nike

Note: H&M have an excellent range of gym wear at ridiculously affordable prices. I am a bit of a knock-off Nigel when it comes to gym clothes, I love a bargain and hate splashing out when I could realistically buy a cute dress for Friday. SO! Check it out...with a range of styles and colours it is personally my favourite. Another great place for gym gear that is CHEAP AS CHIPS is Lillywhites (Piccadilly Circus). If you really want to be a bargain Bill then this is the place. The average price for leggings is £6/£7. Every girl wants to look relatively cute at the gym...you never know who you might meet!

Travelling in Style

"Love is Blind" is a phrase that led me into a deep trail of thought...what does this mean? I am sure it means something different to everyone. Some may see this as falling for personality and not for looks or that love may fall within a danger zone (aka falling for your best friend) where you fear too much to admit it to them or to yourself; or even that we are blind to noticing something or someone.

Whilst I can admit that I can be blind to many things especially love, I was most definitely not blind to this beautiful landscape. So barren yet riddled with history and well, whilst there's not much if NO life (hence the Dead Sea) I felt more alive than ever. Whilst my legs were screaming at me to rest, all I wanted to do was climb this gigantic mountain and explore the history that lies dormant... Call me mad, but in life all the best people are completely bonking mad, including me! Whilst we did trek across the vast landscape, we did in fact opt for the cable car ride to the top rather than the snake path as I am not sure I would have survived. Literally it looked deadly as in people have ACTUALLY died.

At the top of Mount Masada you can see right across the desert with the Dead Sea stretching on for miles; Jordan is situated on the other side of the Dead Sea, a place I hope to one day visit with the 'Lost City' in Petra being on my Bucket List of things to see. I have never been in a desert nor to the top of a mountain like we did so I loved every single second of it. My father arranged for us to be chauffeur driven around for the day by the lovely Moni, not only did he give us a private guided tour at Mount Masada, he also took us to the Dead Sea where we all enjoyed lunch and I later indulged in a bit of a spa day (post to follow).

With the scorching sun and baring desert heat, I opted for a grey wash denim skater skirt with my 'Amor cauecus est' vest top, with a Gilly Hicks bralet underneath. I picked this A-line skirt up in Oxford Street on the Sale Rail in H&M for a mere £6..winning. Issue? My hilarious if not painful sunburn that covered my legs. As you can see in many of my photo's it looks as though I am wearing high socks...all my fault due to the fact I forgot to apply suncream on the day of the Marathon. IDIOT. TBH when you are waking up at 4am (usually the time I am coming in after a night out) you aren't really thinking straight. I was so nervous about the race that this honestly didn't even cross my mind...yet I look back and laugh and think it is my mark of victory slash I am now peeling and totally regret this! Gross, tights it is!

I Double Denim Dare You! | No comments:

Do you dare to wear denim on denim? Hell Yeah! Finally my craze of layering denim on denim is set to become one of Spring's biggest trends, and whilst some of you are picturing that tragic moment when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake rocked up to the American Music Awards in 2001 wearing that head-to-toe double denim wash combo..think again!
